Housing & Community Development
The Housing & Community Development (H&CD) Office provides home rehabilitation for low-moderate income Cheyenne residents.

The H&CD Office also administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program in accordance with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR Part 570.  Agencies with a 501(c)3 who work with the city's low income population may qualify for these funds.  The yearly application cycle begins in October. Occasionally funding becomes available throughout the year for general service out of cycle projects.

Call 637-6255 to see if you qualify for the funding.

CDBG has been working in Cheyenne for over 40 years.
A Newsletter for Fiscal Year 2017 is available.

The City of Cheyenne will receive Community Development Block Grant - CV funding.  This funding is part of the Coronavirus Aid Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES).  The application is for agencies assisting low-income Cheyenne residents with COVID related issues.  The application process has been extended for General Service projects.  Contact dwidauf@cheyennecity.org with any questions.
